If you choose to connect Google Calendar, LinguaPro creates and manages its own separate calendar in your Google account, named "LinguaPro" — it appears alongside your existing calendars but is entirely distinct from them.
LinguaPro can only see and manage the dedicated "LinguaPro" calendar it creates. It has no access whatsoever to your personal calendar, its events, or any other calendar in your Google account — not to read, not to write, not to delete.
This access is used only to keep your LinguaPro lesson schedule visible in Google Calendar. Specifically, we use it to:
Create a calendar event on the "LinguaPro" calendar when you book a lesson
Update that event if a lesson is rescheduled
Remove that event if a lesson is cancelled
When you authorize the connection, Google issues LinguaPro an access token and a refresh token tied to your account. These tokens are stored securely and associated only with your LinguaPro account, and are used solely to manage the "LinguaPro" calendar described above.
You can disconnect Google Calendar from LinguaPro at any time:
From your LinguaPro Account Settings, under the Calendar sync option
Directly from your Google Account, under Security > Third-party apps with account access
Revoking access stops LinguaPro from making any further changes. The "LinguaPro" calendar and its events remain in your Google account unless you delete them yourself.
LinguaPro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
LinguaPro respects your privacy and does not sell, rent, or lease your Personal Information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
We may share information with trusted third-party service providers that assist us in operating the Platform, including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, customer support services, analytics providers, email service providers, identity verification services, and other vendors necessary to provide our services. These providers are permitted to use your information only for the services they perform on our behalf.
Information may be shared between Students and Instructors as necessary to facilitate lesson bookings, educational services, communication, scheduling, payments, reviews, and other Platform functions as described in this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose Personal Information when required to do so by applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or other lawful governmental request, or when we reasonably believe such disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with legal obligations;
Protect the rights, property, or safety of LinguaPro, our Users, or others;
Prevent fraud, abuse, or other unlawful activity;
Enforce our Terms and Conditions or other agreements.
If LinguaPro is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or other business transaction, Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
We may share your Personal Information for purposes not described in this Privacy Policy only with your consent or at your direction.
Except as described above, LinguaPro will not disclose your Personal Information to third parties without your permission unless required or permitted by applicable law.
